Busou Renkin Review

Kazuki Mutou was pierced through the heart by a monster while trying to protect a girl. He then wakes up thinking it was all a dream. Later that day he meets the same monster and realized that he really did die. His sister comes to look for him and they both are attacked by the monster. Suddenly the girl from his dream appears and destroys the monster saving Kazuki’s sister. She later explains to Kazuki that his life was saved by the power of alchemy and that he has the Kakugane as his heart and the monster is called a homunculus which can only be destroyed by the power of alchemy. Kazuki released the power of the Kakugane and defeats the monster in the haunted factory.

Rating

This anime reminds me of Full Metal Alchemist with the whole alchemy and homunculus, but thats about the only thing that they have in common. Busou Renkin is different with that they decided to have weapons that were made my alchemy instead of transmuting things like in FMA.
